looking for a tertiary color for my corsairs

My next project will be a Kill Team of Voidscarred Corsairs. I want to go for an orange and black paintscheme, I’m not sure what color to take for cloaks and such.
What would you recommend?

White! (Ivory) looks great with orange and black

Black is a neutral color, so the complementary color would be blue

I was thinking about that but I fear the mini will be too bright

@versed island @ripe spade what do you think? I probably should highlight the boots like the pauldron, or should I leave them darker?

Kind of depends on the light you want. Highlight it less if you want it looking darker, or more if you want it to be in brighter light.

I like it, but I would make the brightest part of the cloak even lighter 🙂 in general I think it’s a good idea to keep the lower part of a model darker, as it draws more focus to the more interesting top part

In this case I would add at least one more highlight on the boots though, focusing on the edges
