#Sub Assembly/Attaching minis

I have used paper clips in the past and drilled a hole in my mini to attach them to painting handles. I find these to be really weak and not hold very well. In videos I have seen people using thicker material to hold their minis in this way. What are some other options other than paper clips either for whole minis or for sub assemblies?

I use brass rod from a hobby store. Match the gauge up to your drill bit (ie 1/16” of both) and you can get a tight fit - no glue needed
