Hey Team! I'm working on a 3D Resin Print comission for a mate, and for the first time, it's being printed in a number of pieces! Usually I use superglue to hold my resin prints together, but I'm wondering if that's the best route to go, or if there is another (stronger?) adhesive that is better suited? 🧲

I use a combination of superglue and putty for resin or metal

sometimes with a pin for particularly obnoxious stuff

Superglue is the adhesive of choice for resin (cast or printed). That said bond is not the strongest.
If you want something stronger, look at epoxy adhesive, especially the bi-component ones. The problem with epoxies is that they are very slow to cure, from several minutes to a full day. And you will need to hold the parts in place during cure.

Tbh, in most cases, epoxies are not worth the trouble they cause. Superglue + pinning is far more practical

epoxy's mainly for when you can't get a clean contact for the superglue

happens fairly often

Er... I've never had it happen

Super glue is my vote.

Thank you all! I'm not printing anything bigger than about 3" so im thinking super glue might just do the trick. maybe epoxy for the base in case it gets picked up a lot!
