Are you doing a background plinth? Or just a base?

Why a pond, just for fanciness purposes? The pose is pretty blah but you could play with interaction with the plinth/base

like, coming out of the water apocalypse now style, or using the tree for cover on a slope?

general idea was the pond bank was moulded into the plinth

with him stepping out of it either under fire or injured

#

and i dont know what else to call a small body of water in a forest

could even be seen as a shallow river

The water portion seems okay

Sorry for not getting back to you I ended up driving 11 hours and was exhausted apparently lol.

So I'm guessing by plinth you mean with a background . You could have some pretty cool like Lazer pew pew effects if so.
I'm sure it will look pretty cool

Other options ( he's about to climb into a small bunker.
By bunker I mean like possibly an opening of a semi crumbled building/ fence wall.

But I do like the idea of him stepping out of like a swampish area
