So I've been in the discord for a while, but haven't really started to dive in until the last few days. I've never done one of these. Am i understanding correctly that this is for sharing pictures of finished models within the theme, and grabbing some sweet sweet channel points?

Pretty much!

Although the chanel point requests get submitted in the #request-points channel

But yeah so you'll notice most people have colored names and this is basically how. You get a bonus 3 points for doing a paint along ( PAL) but you can only get the bonus points once

And it has to be done within the time frame posted which is usually up to 2 months

You can also share progresses and such

So if I understand this correctly, I chose a model and then show WIPs as I go?

Yeah! Then you post in #request-points. There’s a pin that explains how points work but basically it helps give you cool things like a color to your name and entries into a giveaway when we do it as a paint along it gives us more points!

Sounds good.. of course there are many other PALs if you want to do something else or ( you don't need to be forced into a PAL) all options are valid

Hmm... What color to do a model sized stormtrooper in... Almost tempted to do some Turbodork Bees Knees or some similarly oddball color.

WIP

after thinking about posting a progress pic for a while i worked out how difficult it is to submit WIPs. I want it to be perfect before i show it off lol. i struggled with the flat surfaces of the atrt and definitely need to polish them up, as well as adjusting the rust a but more.

the figure itself is going better as is mostly done besides the backpack which i haven't shown. i quite happy with the effect of the worn leather gloves belt etc.

I believe it's not a cannon option. My research basically said a green stripe on the Sergeant but go nuts on phase 2.
