If you mean small number of models each side, then yes, as you usually just play with 4-5 mechs per side, until one side runs away (if they can still walk)
Classic Battletech last a bit long for a skirmish game, but playing alpha strike you can play a quick game or two an evening

No, it's an event called Grinder. The mechs are sorted into tiers that are about power and/or complexity. There are roll tables for each tier and players roll dice to randomly pick their mech. When they die, they move to the next table. If they play through the whole progression then they can pick which mech they play.
It is a fun little scenario for drop in/drop out demoing and talking to people. Since I don't know how many people are going to show up to my game ( first one since the lockdown) I figured it would be a good start

SLDF didn't drop less than a lance of the same mech at the time, normally their smallest unit was a company of the same mech, and they drop battalions on planets. But basically all the mechs in the game of Armored Combat box were used by the SLDF at one time or another.

This also means I hit my minimum goal for these mechs, and I can paint extra details with the time remaining like joints and weapons.
I have tomorrow, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and the only other thing that I felt I must hit was hazard stripes and blacking bases (which is Saturday) so this is three, really two and a half because tomorrow is date night days of painting other details.

Not sure of any that are specifically like that, but you could for sure do a Commando or two with that Hatamoto-Chi and greenstuff/sculpt similar heads onto Commandos

The one that’s solo is all effects paints and when I tested out the gamers grass fancy ferns and stuff.!! Most of it is just the texture paste with a wash and drybrush then a shit ton of ferns and stuff lol

Other way around, I believe. Its a clan mech captured by Kurita. The clans presumably speak English and other Terran languages with some of their own dialectical bits thrown in (i.e. batchal, dezgra, ristar quiaff/neg)
The clans actually really revere language being spoken properly and abhor things like contractions barring their own made up clan ones
I've been listening to Forever Faithful and one of the characters took great offense to the smoke jaguars being called "Jags" even though he knew it wasn't meant in any derogatory sense
