It is 2B. Graphigaut sculpted it, then the agreement he had with the printing company went weird 😐

but I guess there never were official licenses involved anyway? I'm never clear on how this is supposed to work (i.e. what sculptors are allowed to do vs they need an agreement with the IP owner to release a sculpt). I guess practices have blurred more these days. I'm not comfortable with it yet.

i find that stuff confusing too, it's the same with fan-made 3D terrain tiles for kingdom death. someone told me that if a creator doesn't address copyright infringement, they lose their copyright, maybe that has something to do with it.

I can't print miniatures myself. No place to safely set it up, and there is the fact i get very easily and severe (chemical burn) skinproblems even being in a room with uncured resin vapors. I tried it once with all safety in tact. It was not a pretty sight (looking like severe sunburn, with skin comming off).

I would not even know how to start assembling let alone paint it. Looks like many subassemblies needed for painting. That always kills my paintdrive. I prefer less intricate miniatures due to be that for a chance to be actually paint it. I have a few miniatures i love in my collection that likely wont get started due to that daunting prospect.

I want to try subassembly at some point. My issue is remembering to keep my lighting the same across different pieces

Probably going to do it on this big dude since he’s got a bunch of angles. I left him unattached to the base, the back leg is pinned in, and the spear hand is free

I haven't looked into this mini in details, but my thought process would be to assemble the mini without the base and without the cloth that is "behind her and touching the base" on the picture above, and that's it. Work the rest by brush subtlety 😉

Found the box with the pin-up. checked it, dry-fitted, all is good with no mold line at all.
But where did I put the base that came with the model. I know I have it because I saw it in the same big box but I will probably have to empty it all. It wasn't a complicated base: a very flat wooden floor. I could recreate one, but I would prefer not to.

And found the base. I had to nearly empty the two 64 litres plastic boxes where my 75 mm and busts are, but I got it in the end.

Nothing I had forgotten. My big scale collection is quite limited, although boxes for these are massive.

I just looked up the greebo miniatures, never heard of them. I don't care for fantasy football miniatures as theme at all, but the overall style and the not sport related looking ones are right up my ally.

I decided to paint above mini like this beautiful art work. Almost black and white for a dancer, and emphasizing the skirt using colored tone. Kinda worried that in 2d it looks nice, but it would be life-less, corpse like mood if I copy the same idea in 3d. Anyway, working on it.

Maybe instead of taking the colour tone, you take the zone of attractions?

Where the 2D art has a lot of emphasis placed on the characters face, chest, and the vivid colour of the dress, you could do the same by placing most of your brush effort there, drawing the eye to the same areas

I walked away and moved on and watched like 10 NMM videos then came back and fixed it. Not perfect but still better lol
