Hopefully this is the right place for my question. I'm just wondering if anyone knows if there's a difference between the vallejo model color "leather brown" and the game color "leather brown". Same name, same company, but different line of paint.
I mean difference in the color, not the ingredients or chemistry of the actual paint.

Fyi they are releasing a new game colour line at the moment replacing the current. So there may be 3?

I dont think there should be a difference in color. Just consistency. I think pigment density or somethin is different between game and normal

There is a difference in hue, game color is made for fantasy games and are more saturated colors, model color are more desaturated in general (not saying you won’t find saturated colors in the range) since they are more focused in realism
Also game color tends to dry more satin than model color, and there is a slight difference in the medium but nothing drastic, they both behave pretty much the same

Yeah they are generally the same but the color range is a little different. Game color is a bit more vibrant and brighter and aimed at minis and fantasy while Model color is muted and going more towards the scale model side.
There are some slight differences in stuff like consistency and i find game color covers ever so slightly better but at least to me its barely noticable.

The Game Color browns are surprisingly frustrating to use imo. Coverage is just bleh

In my experience model color has more matte finish and slightly better coverage. In terms of hue and saturation you usually can find colors that are very close to each other in model and game line. Model line might lack the most vibrant colors from game range tho

I already have the game color one but just ordered the model color. I'll have to check them out on two separate miniatures.
