#Crafting feels unrewarding!

Scrolling through the feedback section I have come to realise there is not much written about the current state of crafting. Being the guild crafter of one of the bigger clans in Sangmar EU I reached the point where I could make both orange (med and heavy armor) and weapons. After the initial tedious grind of producing and dismantling, I felt I needed to share this feedback.

  • Restrictions: Crafters are restricted by the fact they can max make +3 items on a +4 crafting bench. Why did we change this in the first place? Maxing your proficiency level is not necessary anymore to get the most out of crafting. Pushing the game towards a reinforcing playstyle debuffs the already time sink crafting process. Highly vouch to return the old system where there was a small change to make +4, +5 and +6 instead of making only +3 to do the RNG luck reinforcing process.
  • Gold sink: Crafting fee of, for example, making orange karleonian chainmails, is extremely high (10 silver per craft). While crafting in a alliance castle it still is 9s 90c. Reduce it or make it so that crafting in the alliance castles actively reduce ‘x’ percentage of the costs.
  • Material sink: Playing this game 8h a day means you need a new full set at the end of the day. The durability did not scale according to the reinforcing update. In these 8h people are pushed towards a PvE’ish and non loot pvp gameplay which usually does not provide the costs of a full set.
  • Imbalance in receipes: In the current system some receipes are way more cost efficient than other receipes. In the long run I would highly advise you to throughly look at the costs in relation to the same level receipes there are in the game.

Part 2

  • Basic materials: Why making basic materials such as steel bars, dziwer bars etc etc lock behind ‘smelters’ or time processors. This is also a unnecessary time sink. I get the idea to push people towards using them (looking at the tech tree), but give us a option where we can make these materials at a bench (with higher costs as trade off).

Apart from the above I can ‘deal’ with the bloat of materials one crafter needs to produce ‘stuff’. Crafting itself is simple duo to the information the game provides. Keep it like that.

Back in the days it felt more rewarding to be a crafter which in itself always been a tedious grind and a immens gold sink. I could overlook the initial grind just to make the best weapons and armour one could. Nowadays it feels empty and less worthwhile. Unfortunately not as enjoyable anymore.

  1. You use to be able to make +6 when failing reinforcement meant breaking the item. After testing, I prefer reinforcing over having to grind to lvl 100 and wait for crafting chance buff to get more odds at +6. It adds value to +1 to +3 gear dropped from npc and reinforcing is a great gold sink.
  2. You're crafting the best armor in the game, 10s per craft really isn't much. If you own the crafting castle, you get a portion of that cost sent to the guild bank and there are guild techs to increase the portion your guild receives.
  3. If you use a full set of T5 and only pvp in no-loot. You'll get enough CP to sell recipes/mats and buy another set. If you do any PvE you'll make money over time. Not to mention, you get 66% of the mats back when dissassembling.
  4. Some recipes take less metals, more canvas, some no canvas and leather instead. Finding the right recipe for the mats that you have or the most cost/efficient item to craft to lvl up is very rewarding imo.
  5. Personally, I always have plenty to do whilst crafting so I don't mind waiting for stuff to smelt, everything but bulat is pretty quick and easy to smelt and better fuel let's you stay away from furnaces for longer.

Finally, nothing beats being able to go to Lublin and make your own armor/weapon/tools/bags. If that's not rewarding, idk what is.

i think they want the new reinforcement system to be like a way they can generate cash income for the game. they dont want crafters making +6 because they want u to use the master kits. and to get more master kits you need to grind or use ambers.

i'm not saying this is a good system but i noticed in the most recent updates that when someone upgrades to +7 its announced to the whole nation. So i think the plan might be to monitise this system. i defiantly hope not tho.
