I'm afraid we'll never be doing trikz due to how our networking works

Will Momentum ever have combat-based multiplayer modes such as Trikz?

No. Momentum's networking model doesn't keep players perfectly in sync on each tick, meaning any mechanic that effected online player's movement would be inconsistent.

Instead, we network player data as fast as we can, but not in real time. This is a deliberate trade-off, as it means all players always have 0 ping, even when in a multiplayer lobby. It also means that anyone can host a lobby (up to 250 players!) for free, without having to manage a dedicated server.

Spectating still works well, and you can see other players on your map, but you'll never be able to move or damage them.
