I like to leave them so that if someone requests something using a different word, like 'comment' instead of 'description', they'll see the other posts linking to the first one.

But the standard text you use every time sounds so much like a rebuke that you really want to get rid of the post 😛

It's more me just wishing people would read the pinned post that says READ ME FIRST. Try doing a search in these forums for 'Netflix' for example.
