So I'm trying to redesign an old persona that a friend of mine made for my birthday ages ago. I'm trying to take inspiration from series that I really enjoy but I'm coming across a little bit of an issue.
I've done around 3 redesigns of the original design, but each time I find myself making a design that looks too similar to Quote. I tend to keep design aspects like the white skin, red hat, black hair, since they're aspects that I like about his design. Since its supposed to be a representation of myself, I just tend to add character design aspects that I like but it just ends up with "Quote but wearing a different colored scarf and jacket." Can someone give me some advice on making it a bit more original?
This is the most recent version of the design I've done, and I'd like to keep things like the scarf design and maybe the jacket.
