I don't think this would be impossible just very difficult,
I find that having a physics object and an item drop from 1 block can be a bit weird. don't mind it so much when its smaller physics objects such as 20% scale voxel but if possible I would love to have the block physics object (specifically in the setting "blocky") follow where the item drop goes. this wouldn't affect anything on servers as the physics object is just going where the item is.
as a secondary thought before reading the "no server sided features" section I was thinking it could have a setting where you would push the item around and they would still be linked but that's not needed
if this isnt able to be done just lmk so im not thinking about it anymore :)
#linking physics objects to items

The problem with this arises with physics object scale as they try to pin to where the item is. Imagine this scenario:
A bunch of blocks break and the items fall in the same or similar place. They're going to be fighting to stay in the same place
At low physics object scale, this isn't that problematic
das true, what if it combined the physics objects?
because if its only allowed 1 physics object per dropped item entity
What if the items are different?
