performance mode and presets

Some sort of switch that removes some details and lowers some settings automatically, not adding anything, just using the already made settings to make the mod less laggy (for example, lowering how much smoke can be spawned, lowering the physics object's limit) sort of like a "preset"
Maybe letting users make their own presets, being able to save it and being able to share it, maybe on this very server

thats a great idea

i myself have to configure settings like smoke because it can cause lag

so this would definitely be convenient

Or maybe doing something like culling effects and physics that are not within view

Please post that as a seperate idea, thats one of the best things ive heard so far
