This is 100% doable from client side lol

He said he wants a hurricane mod that looks good. It doesnt need to break blocks, physics mod already has the groundwork for many neat weather features. Could be as simple as adding a small chance for any rain event to have higher wind multiplier and increased particle amount, could also add some additional weather particles to really sell it.

do you know what a hurricane mod is?

#

have you tried one?

#

the whole point is they move things and break blocks

#

which can't be done on the client-side

but what's the point of a hurricane that can't do anything?

All the weather in the game does something physical (rain grows crops, thunderstorms spawn lightning etc)

I just don’t understand the sentiment here that because we can’t break blocks, we’re concluding extreme weather is impossible. Weather exists in the game for ambience, not for functionality, you could add a hurricane without it physically blowing your house away lol

@plucky lagoon it doesn't need to destroy blocks
