If you're to hit a mob a few voxels will break off of that mob, something you'd see in teardown. but maybe without the gore.

#

voxels come back if the mob is healed.

turbid oyster
#

that is cool

fierce flint
#

Would probably be really hard and would have limited to no compatibility with texture packs

#

Especially one's with custom entity models

sacred quail
slate python
#

Would maybe be possible if he makes a death thing like ragdoll but voxels instead like the block breaking

ornate creek
#

unsure of the performance implications since there's going to be a crap tonna moving voxels especially with larger entities

#

and the difference between it working in teardown vs in minecraft is that teardown is not minecraft

#

it would be cool though if for larger entities it was just less fine so you'd smack a giant and a huge chonk of their leg would just plop (or more falls off depending on how strong your sword is)

#

and then it could just interpolate back when it heals like op said

There are options to limit max physics options

trim bluff
proper crater
#

but how would haubna do this exactly?

#

iirc, the block breaking models are actual models that are stored in the mod's jar file, so i dont see how this would be possible

#

without some witchcraft

#

or shaders

#

idk where im going with this

trim bluff
#

yeah it does seem very complicated for what it is

#

because it would require a fractured model for each mob if that’s how it worked then
