Not sure if it's me but currently I've noticed while playing atomfall, when throwing molotovs at the enemy outlaws the game crashes. I tested it and seems to be the issue. I started up the game again and ran away from the outlaws and threw both molotovs at a clearing with no enemies around and then game did not crash, so could be an issue when fire effects mess with the NPCs or something.

Try setting audio to not use Windows Sonic, put both speaker and headset to stereo uncompressed.
