Unsure, but has happened to me on many different servers, dungeons etc.
I have a very unstable connection where I live, and as such, my internet access can randomly drop for a few seconds to minutes at a time. whenever this occurs in RotMG, I am unable to reconnect to the game for ~15 minutes, but ever since the account in use changes. According to my friend, when this disconnect happens, I do show up as offline a I am unable to be whispered to via in game chat, but i am still unable to load into the playable client during this time. Attempts to do so are met with a long loading screen after "Realm of the Mad God" pops up, eventually ending in a "An existing connection was forcibly closed by the Remote Host" pop up. (Maybe connection times out somehow?)
This only happens in ROTMG, no other game has given me networking related issues after DCing like this. Last time this happened to me, it took about an hour before I was able to log in again and play. And to the smart asses saying "just get better internet lol" i would do that if it were an option 😪 but this isnt an issue that should exist to begin with.
