Yeah, there are skills that give exp for curiosities, but it would be nice to have more ways lvl up heroes and army, like for completing minor factions quests or bribing them

Minor faction quests used to give exp. So if that's no longer the case I hope it's a bug.

I miss the way you could use heroes in EL1, assigning them to specific cities, passively gaining experience until you needed them in combat.
