Which antivirus software do you use ?

You can also try to ensure the game is being authorized in Windows Defender if you use it

If you synchronise your documents folder with OneDrive it might also cause this issue

If you played demo.

Maybe it will be a good idea to manualy rename/ move / delete EL2 "demo" folder from "documents" , maybe something was marked as read only.
I personally moved it so EA version could create a new one.
