So, honestly, that doesn't even sound reportable. They aren't AFK (since they talked to you) they aren't even all that far out of the level bounds of the hunting area it sounds.

If it's genuinely impacting your game play, the mechanic would be policy report but the GMs aren't going to tell us what they do with those, it would be like the IRS telling people how they catch tax cheats. Also keep in mind, abuse of this function will get you in trouble.

As a suggestion (and I know, as the aggrieved party you shouldn't be the one who has to change, but such is life) there are a lot of 30ish hunting grounds, consider finding another one.

While the solo players feel some empathy with you the reality is there is a small player base in GS and a huge amount of revenue comes to the game from the significant number of players who script hunt thru life. Not all are bad btw. But GS has taken the position that if they aren’t directly griefing you and they respond to GM afk checks then it’s allowed. It’s clearly not something that contributes to the role playing aspect of the game but it’s simply not in the GS economic interest to shrink its player base by another 50% to ban this kind of play. So ya learn to work around it. Note: since most use bigshot to script it will make them just pass thru a room you are in so find a high spawn room and just hold it and let the mobs spawn on you and they won’t steal them. If they come in and do that it’s a different issue.

Is this behavior against policy and reportable?

No, it is within policy to use scripts while at the keyboard and responsive to the game environment.

How do the GMs approach this if it is reported?

GMs do follow up on policy reports and the person will most likely have to pass a script check.
