Is anyone aware of any good resources on inventory management? Rejoining the game after many years (starting a new character) and I can't remember where/how to accumulate all the things. I remember having thigh sheathes, I think you can wear your herb pouch on a belt somehow to save waist slots, etc.

You might want to start with https://gswiki.play.net/Inventory. There have been a couple updates to inventory depending on how long you've been gone. Step one is getting comfortable with functional versus non functional. Using a thigh slot for that sheath is a valid choice, but means you use up a slot there. Starting out you probably don't need to play slot shuffle, but long-term players have to consider them.

If you use Lich and its associated scripts, consider downloading ;invdb from the repository. I only downloaded this script in the last 2-3 years, but it has been incredibly helpful.
Run this script on a character typing ;invdb and it will log items on the character's person and across their various lockers, family locker, and astral vault. You can also run this script for other characters on the same account. Then when later use the script to recall where an item is (if you are looking for a white crystal you know you have somewhere, you would enter ;invdb white crystal), it will search across all the characters on the account you have run the script for previously. There's several parameters you can set for how you search for items too that make it super useful.
I also use my different lockers for explicit purposes. For example: character clothing and jewelry are all in the Landing locker, the Solhaven locker has all the need to give away/sell/move items, enhancives I use are all in the Mist Harbor locker, and so on.
Finally, I keep a spreadsheet with significant items and related info.

The INVENTORY verb in game has a lot of options that can help you get a better idea of how worn slots work. Try INVENTORY LOCATION in particular
