I believe this was originally a Droughtman prize. It can change to any size shield…small, medium, large and tower by opening it and either pushing or pulling it. It weighs 4 pounds regardless of size. I know the mb and bo are pretty high but I paid the bo to re-acquire it recently and was hoping to recoup as much as I can. It’s definitely a pretty unique piece. Thx!

On the reverse of the golvern tower shield, a complex arrangement of gears, cogs, and shafts link a series of tightly overlapping plates about the edges so that they can swivel synchronously while still maintaining most of their strength. Also it looks like the morphing scrip adds 200 difficulty which isn't ideal (I know many folks have argued their way for old/unique scripts to remove archaic difficulty and succeeded)

The difficulity did seem high to me but I didn't think past the ensorcells. Yeah I'm not going to tussle with gms at this point. If someone wants to borrow it and talk to one I'd let you have it for a bit. Let me know. I didn't even think that it might not be able to have flares. But my gemstone IQ is not high. Thx
