Headline: Ciradyl and Concerns about her Role in a Possible Conspiracy

Several members of Illistim society gathered in the Halls of Justice recently at the behest of Master Inquisitor Ciradyl Datoris. With echoes of last year's inquisitions still resonating around the mirrored walls, discussions this time centered around the ongoing search for Lady Ardtin Greyvael and former page, Gasen Nellereune. The Master of the Index seemed somewhat ill at ease at first as she inquired whether those gathered had anything to share, begging the question: did she already know the answer?

Letting slip that she meets with the Seneschal of Ta'Illistim Keep on a weekly basis and is currently withholding information from him, Ciradyl went on to reiterate that, while the Inquisitors had the skill to investigate beyond the city borders, they were - and I quote - "incapable of truly asking amongst the populace without rousing suspicion." Suspicions of what? What else is she not telling Lord Aeriadrn Ghaeriden?

Her acknowledgment that the Inquisitors tended to instil abject terror in those familiar with their tactics seemed to amuse her as she noted that their leads had, more often than not, met with dead ends. Was this intentional? Despite asking for the help of the general populace in her fact-finding mission, is she leading everyone on a wild-peahen chase? Is she deliberately thwarting attempts to locate Lady Ardtin Greyvael? Does she know more than she is letting on? Does she have something to gain by delaying the ratification of the Mirror-Elect?

Let's remember that Ciradyl is no stranger to cover-ups. Knowing what we already do about the Master Inquisitor and her skills at obfuscation - we all remember the revelation of her true identity last year - these are relevant questions that need to be asked!
