#Flood City Problem

You have to download the world, which is linked in the Modrinth modpack
After that, click "open folders" on the Modrinth page for the modpack, then drag the map from your downloads into the "saves" folder for the pack. After that, unzip it (right click and "extract all"). I can't remember if that specific map is double packed, but if not, then it should show up as a regular world when you reopen Minecraft
If it is double packed, then the folders might look something like this when you open them:
To fix it, do this (and delete the red folders once you move purple):
Obviously the folder names will be different, but it will work the exact same
I'm heading to bed, but if you have any questions, I'll be up in a few hours
ty
Good luck o7
The one from Modrinth
Yes. So you have to download it, then follow these steps lol
What
you said its in the modpack
is the world a seprate thing to the actual modpack
because i figured out the open folder for the pack but i dont know about the actual map and how to download it or if its in the actual modpack
is it somewhere in here lol idk
Does that download button not work?
is the map a seprate download?
Yes, because it's one that Sean found online
oh do you have the link?
ty
Like I said, there's a link to it in the modpack lol
o7
whats o7?
It's like a salute. O for the head and 7 for the arm
Yup
should i delete the other two worlds?
three*
and just leave the extracted one
?
@eager pebble
Delete the new worlds, and the version that still has the WinRAR icon
Once you open the modded Minecraft, it should show that world as if it was one you created
yup
ill reopen it after
i think it crashed
ill try again
do i have to change minecraft versions?
its not responding again
@eager pebble
No, you shouldn't have to change versions. Where is it crashing?
Try adjusting your RAM allocation a bit and then relaunching. You can do so from the Modrinth options
No, it should be in the options for the specific modpack
I believe it's the Java memory slider
what would you say i should put on the slider
You could probably put it to about twice what it currently is
Yeah, tick it
Full thing is in the pack description too
mb
its very laggy is there any packs i can remove to reduce the lag
mods*
this?
also
nvm i had cheats off but if you can get back to me on this
Sodium, Embeddium/Rubiddium
Since it's a newer version, I wouldn't suggest Optifine
so remove those?
Oh, sorry, I misread somehow lol
got links?
I think you can add them from the Modrinth app
Have to unlock it first tho
No, I mean you have to unlock it, and that screenshot shows where lol
why?
You can't add or remove mods from a Modrinth modpack unless you unlock it
oh ok
ty
how do i add the mods to the modpacl?
pack*
oh it already has embiddium
oh i see
how do i relock it
is it this
You can't (and don't need to, because it'll work the exact same)
so just launch it
i just downloaded the one starting with r
rubbdium
i think
hey is this multiplayer
Technically yes, but you'd have to create a server on your own
how do i do that
Add the Essential mod, use Aternos, use Bisect hosting, etc
I'd suggest Googling, there's ups and downs to all of them
does the other player have to have it added
Yes
That's weird? Never heard of that
I'd suggest Googling it, but the only thing I could think is just really bad lag
yeah its super laggy got any tips other then mods
Probably lol, it's a big map with lots of entities
Out of curiosity what are your specs
Also if memory serves me right the modpack already has Rubidium/Embeddium
Apparently it didn't have rubidium before
Lemme check real quick
Ah, it's got embeddium
Which is basically Rubidium but more compatible
Might wanna remove that then, could cause conflicts
The map is pretty huge though. Even on my rig it is a little laggy. You might just have to put up with it or lower your render distance
ive got got lowest render distance
is there any other city maps with lower distance?
or smaller map
I mean, you should probably check Planet Minecraft for something smaller? That's where Sean got it in the first place
ok sorry
Nah, no worries, it's just a matter of taste at that point, you know?
