i.e the armor has various layers that the player must, essentially, peel off from their armor. Each layer is a phase, and each have differing vulnerabilities.

For instance, P1 might be similar to Storm Weaver, but P2 then has a different system where the player has to destroy each part, similar to Destroyer's damage, albeit mandatory to continue the fight. P3 could be similar to Thanatos's funky reactive defense thing, in that he only becomes vulnerable if you're kinda near it.
