I know Health doesn't exactly translate into fights 1 to 1, but even if the radiance could infect Providence over time, it is a much more daunting task than what its used to. Providence may be able to just deal what is equal to 1700 damage to it before the effects take hold.

Gods can be infected by the scarlet rot, but yeah the fire would deter it for sure.

xeroc was a monk who served the dragons until ML appeared out of nowhere and nuked half the dragons, one of which being their king and dragon of primordial light (sunlight except it sounds cooler basically), Zeratros, whose soul Xeroc consumed to become the god of primordial light, leading to the slow but steady near extinction of all the auric dragons once people realized that is something you can do

there's a lot of different dragons but they generally fall into either of two categories: Auric Dragons, who each had an Auric Soul granted to them from the remains of the shattered World Soul (Yharon, Zeratros and a couple other known and/or named ones), and the Draconic Offshoots, the loser idiot piss baby nerds who were either born too late to get an auric soul (like jared) or are descendants from auric dragons (old duke and all the other types of fishrons, eidolon wyrms, wyverns, dragonfollies etc.)

Today, yes. It wasn't always inferior. It's superior to the technology he had when he was working on the mechanical bosses, and it's evidently still superior in terms of space flight capability if Draedon is struggling with mining operations on the Moon.
