knowledge about how Xeroc ascended to godhood just kinda spread like crazy presumably because there was someone who witnessed it happen and decided to snitch

but then, as entire eras passed, more gods ascended and more dragons were lost, that knowledge would become more obscure

then yharim steps in and he would hella do his best to gatekeep any form of understanding about absorbing auric souls

after all his bestie has one

so yea, we, the terrarian, wouldn't know about how to absorb auric souls under normal circumstances

you do whatever you want with it

there is no hardcanon about the terrarian so you could just throw in that you actually know how to absorb an auric soul in some way like idk Yharim being fucking blind or whatever you want it to be
