one of my ocs (unrelated to anything calamity) is a machine who's kind of like draedon in the "is practically immortal because they have countless drone bodies and backup storage devices for their consciousness" sense and one of the ideas i had for their primary space station is that, since they never intended for anyone other than themselves to ever even exist in close proximity, the inside would be specialized for their own machines to move around and would have complete disregard for accessibility for humans and such

so they can just be scuttering around on the walls or whatever and then suddenly kick off from the ground until they hit the other side and keep scuttering about
