Because of how bosses work. They despawn when they are to far away from the player, but to prevent that from WOF(because it would be annoying that you get far away and ot dissapear on the middle of the combat) and it also prevents players from escaping from wow

Fab seems to be taking a lot of design philosophies from Isaac and Dark Souls and although the intent is likely good, most of the things (although most fixed, especially TDR, fuck that thing) seem to just encourage the players to git gud and use metas rather than to experiment and find around stuff like the sandbox Terraria is and Cal used to feel like pre-1.5
Its good that the game is being made harder, but I have a feeling some stuff is unnecessarily harsh

almost all shadowspec items are dedicated for devs or donor (especially for newly added ones), so unless a dev/donor ask for a flail or spear it simply is not gonna happen

Bulwark is best when paired with other accs that can take advantage of its perks
