@quasi fable There are some benefits to killing Ravager pre-ml/pre-providence.

First off, in rev/deathmode he drops Infernal Blood, an upgrade to Rage's damage boost. Doesn't seem like much, but it's handy for some.
Second, Ravager drops a lot of materials that are use often. This makes a Ravager a great way to farm for materials, that are otherwise a bit tedious to get.

The only people having problems with the Profaned Guardian charges I've seen are those that don't know how to avoid the charges by flying up, or simply using sub-optimal dash/going dashless.
