Enchanted Pearl is getting changed slightly to also increase the chance of catching grab bag type items.
Such as Stuffed Fish.

gets an ability to rarify crates, boosts grab bag fish chances on non-legendary catches, emits pearl particles on bobbers when crate catches are detected, and removed a random hidden synergy when used together with supreme box + crate pot which causes it to go through a formula to occasionally override all catches with a hardcoded list of rare items

Add aggro to melee armor
In vanilla almost every(because molten and ooa armor decided to be different) standalone melee armor have aggro value which include 3 set of armor (technically 4 because there are 2 set of beetle armor) which include turtle, beetle and solar flare which doesn’t seems like much but in calamity every melee armor added by calamity have aggro value from the first set like victide to the last set the auric tesla even though these armor are not standalone set but a set with shared chest and leg piece I still think vanilla melee armor deserve to have aggro value
so basically you want to add aggro to molten and ooa armors
and every hardmode ore set
well ooa is technically mixed class armor so maybe i should left it out

In Calamity, all added multiclass sets (armor sets that have unique helmets corresponding to different classes, such as Hallowed armor) also increase the player's aggro when wearing the melee helmet. However, this does not extend to vanilla multiclass sets, namely the Old One's Army sets and the Hardmode Ore armor sets, and also Molten armor for some reason. To improve consistency between the melee class and vanilla and Calamity, the aforementioned melee armor sets should be given an aggro value.

i dont agree with being forced to take aggro becasue you picked a class that cant really be countered that easily, +1,000 aggro on melee helmet. flesh knuckles are 400 aggro, meaning you'd need more than two to even counter the godslayer helmet. i sometimes want to take aggro when playing a different class and my friend is playing melee and its often frustrating when i just fucking cant becuase the melee armor set increases your aggro by a level of ONE THOUSAND 😭

And if you're communicating in multiplayer (you likely should) then it shouldn't be an issue since you can comm what accessories people are likely wearing and stuff

yeah worth noting if somebody is used to vanilla, they probably won't go up directly above spawn when looking for sky islands
the planetoid is quite large and isn't directly above the spawn area, so there's a fair chance you'll see it even when trying to use gravitation potions optimally

Being unable to mine in the Sunken Sea without Desert Scourge being dead hasn't been a thing since From the Ashes (2 years ago).
The planetoid lab is the easiest to find if you know to be looking for stuff in space. But if you don't know that, you're more likely to organically find the Sunken Sea lab first.
And I think the Sunken Sea lab being first makes a lot of sense.

Do something, literally anything with feral bite
Ever since bountiful harvest (i think) feral bite had its random negative status effects removed and its damage increases removed. While I'm not here to discuss the validity of this, I am here to bring up that feral bite only lowers your base regen rate by half, and that's it. For such a limited status effect this does almost nothing and doesn't impact regular gameplay.
Making it applied by more enemies and/or giving it some kind of extra detriment would go a long way in making this debuff noticeable and viable again.

I would agree with the prior criticism, RoD is balanced by the skill and time to swap to it, and even then is an incredibly powerful tool that can cheese entire phases of bosses. Adding a hotkey not only makes the item much more accessible to use, but completely removes the reason Normality Relocator exists, as a sidegrade that exchanges ease of use for cooldown length.
That being said, I don't think it technically breaks any rules

It is pretty drastic balance, the entire balancing method of RoD is that it requires you to stop attacking and swap to it, adding a hotkey not only means you can continue attacking, but also requires much less input, skill, and player action. This is why Normality relocator has a decently longer cooldown than RoD because it bypasses all of this.

and even in it's current state RoD makes fights significantly easier, a get out of jail free card every 15 seconds can negate entire phases and is essentially a dodge every 15 seconds too. IMO rod is a cheese method that is kept to not restrict the player too much but is still just balanced enough to not make it completely free to abuse.

I'm just talking about the instantaneous mana sickness reduction, not long term since frenzy doesn't last too long

Mmm, not really. I'd assume one to play around brimflame timing and enter it at full mana bar. If it lasts more than 10 seconds, you arent impacted. If it lasts less, then you are forced to either stop firing entirely for natural mana regen (assuming it wasnt disabled), or continue at continiously declining 25% debuff (which eventually averages out to 12.5% after 5 seconds)
Its a different story if your mana consumption is big enough to sinkhole mana pots, but thats not the case for most weapons
it is worth it to note that cit has also made it so that it also disables mana potions so you flat out just dont get any mana during it
I mean if you frick it up you're just beyond screwed
If you frick up your adren timing you just lose some damage
If you frick up your mana with your brimflame timing you have to know that you can disable it (something I doubt a lot of people know about) or you just stop being able to play the game

you're right, my point doesn't really make sense in retrospect, but (currently) not being able to use mana regen and only being able to use mana potions means that you're likely to have reduced damage since you can't rely in natural regen
Idk how terraria code does this so this may be wrong but I would presume theres some kind of check to make sure you can't use a magic weapon if you dont have enough mana when you try

Anything that costs a lot of mana if you aren't using mana flower upgrades is really iffy
10 seconds is a long time but it's not really that hard to find several weapons that get down from full to 0 within like 8 seconds
It makes permafrosts very good with it as a synergy, but also makes it feel like a requirement as not only does permas give you a bunch of mana cost reduction, it also gives more max mana to make it last longer
But permafrosts does that on its own irrespective of Brimflame, permas is cracked
