The legendary weapons getting stronger while progressing and I think this should be implemented (again) because it was difficult to get those weapons and the fact that they could become useless kinda defeats the point of them being legendary. I think it would give a sense of accomplishment and levels for your legendary weapon(s)

An idea for the legendary weapons, because many people are asking for them to scale again, is that they scale only twice. Once after Scal so that you can use them against Yharim, the "final boss" of the calamity story, and once after Goozma, so you can use them against the lorde the final superboss.

New summon weapon: Illuminant Slime Staff
Post-mechanical boss summon weapon that cant fly/go through blocks
Crafting: Corroslime staff, Crimslome staff, Hallowed bars, Souls of light.
Why: The spider staff is the only summon in early hardmode that cant fly, but it can still start flying ridiculously easily. Therefore, we don't really have any good summons pre-Plantera that can fly. This can become a problem for people who want to build farms.

Old Book
A lore book that is spawned in the starter bag. Interacting with it will create some special interaction where it the player learns the background on Calamity, by text and reducing the vision of the player to focus on the text of what the background lore of Calamity is. It is consumed upon usage, however.
I think this will give them harmless debuffs, such as movement stop, blindness and zen potion effects. Along with some text that talks about the background of Calamity Mod as well as some central characters to its lore. Maybe Tale of a Cruel World can play at that part...
Like example:
Player used the book > Player is inflicted by 3 debuffs > Status messages about the lore appear while ToaCW plays on the background > Once all of the messages are done, the 3 debuffs stop as well as the BGM

From post-golem onward throwing struggles quite a lot, as there're only True Paladin Hammer and Flame Scythe that you can make post-Golem, both of which aren't that good.
Even worse, the next bosses you'll be fighting against after Golem, are PBG and Duke, and both of them are painful to hit with either weapons (true palad has short range, flame scythe is slow as heck), and the throwing weapons you get post-plantera like duststorm, poison bomb and brackish suffers in similar ways.

I had the idea to make this weapon cause right now, post-Golem with throwing sucks and the class really needs a good weapon to go up against PBG and Duke.
Any thoughts?

Exoshiv: Similar DPS compared to the exoblade, has a similar crafting recipe only it consists of shortswords instead, all projectiles shoot directly from the shiv and inflict similar debuffs from the exoblade. You could even say that this is Draedon’s spare weapon that he forged just in case he ‘misplaces’ his exoblade.

I know this probably won't get in but I had an interesting idea for Yharon.

Upon reaching 5% HP in Phase 2, Yharon comes crashing to the ground de-spawning all projectiles and ceasing all attacks, Yharon becomes invincible for five seconds (To prevent him from just dying right away). If the player doesn't kill Yharon within thirty seconds he gets up and fly's away, you still get all of the loot even if you let him live. Upon Yharon flying away the player is granted a permanent buff that doesn't take up a buff slot

Yharon's Honor/Respect

During boss fights and occasionally outside of boss fights, Yharon will occasionally fly in and unleash a barrage of high damage homing fireballs which attack enemies, upon falling below X% health Yharon will swoop in and absorb up to a maximum of # damage (This totals up) and unleash a smaller barrage of non homing fire balls.

In the event that the player kills Yharon they will receive a different buff

Increased I-frames
"Yharon's blood empowers you"
Upon taking damage above X amount of damage release a small burst of holy flames.

After Yharon, Yharim will curse you with the “Dragon’s Burden” debuff, which “bans the use of every weapon except...” (in quotes will be the caption), and with mining tools and I guess accessories as weapons, you must find Yharim, and kill him with the murasama, the ONLY exception to the debuff. Yharim will disappear, (devs, you make the death message), and the debuff will be replaced by a buff, (devs, come up with name/effect)

After defeating all of the envoys of the devourer in Revengeance or higher, give DoG a small chance to briefly spawn (If not killed) and attempt to kill one player before retreating, with new dialogue when naturally spawning (e.g: "Surprise, kid!"), but retreats after sustaining some damage with a chance to drop something, as to fulfil the lore: "The Devourer will occasionally launch 'sneak attacks' by tearing through the dimensions and eviscerating unsuspecting victims to feed its' ever-growing segments", and to keep the player on guard and give a little sneak peek of the boss fight.

Sometimes getting rage is pain in the ass (especially for bossfights), so here's my suggestion.

Rage Essence: Rev+ exclusive crafting material which is dropped by enemies in Profaned Crags.

Small Overdrive potion
Made of 1 Rage/Wrath potion, 1 Battle potion, 10 Rage Essences @ Alchemy Table.
Gives Small Overdrive buff which regens 250 rage per second for 10 seconds.
Overdrive potion
Made of 1 Small Overdrive potion, 1 Zerg potion, 3 Souls of Fright, 10 Rage Essences @ Alchemy Table.
Gives Overdrive buff which regens 500 rage per second for 10 seconds.

Greater Overdrive potion
Made of 1 Overdrive potion, 5 Unholy Essences, 10 Rage Essences @ Ancient Manipulator.
Gives Greater Overdrive buff which regens 750 rage per second for 10 seconds.

Super Overdrive potion

After Draedon (which is yet to come), he should say a message that says “You must defeat the wretched calamity that feasts upon this world”, and when you make the eye of extinction and summon scal, she should not be hostile and say “What brings me here?” , then you attack her, as Draedon requests. Scal will go immortal and say “Well, I didn’t expect such hostility!”, then you kill the orbs and whatnot, and attack her again, and she will say “Ok. I’ve had enough. Time for you to die. You really do not understand the problem, do you?” Then the fight will go down with the dialogue we already know of, etc. When Supreme Calamitas gets low, she will go immortal and say “We MUST defeat the Tyrant. I am your ally. I will remain here. Tyrant Yharim will then awaken promptly and instantly kill S.C, then retreat. And NPC will spawn the next morning, “Weakened Calamitas/Calamity” (slash splits two options), and she will sell Calamitous essence. Her dialogue will involve revengeful and sad text, such as “Please take my place as the Tyrant’s enemy”, and “All I wanted was to be a problem for the Tyrant”. I just feel like this would be a very interesting chunk to the story of this mod, and would transition well into the final boss battle against Tyrant Yharim.

OH, and another note: Eye of extinction will do nothing after Yharim kills Scal. It will sell for no value but will sell for 500 platinum ONLY for Weakened Calamity/Calamitas. The eye will give her nostalgia of her old power which is why she offers so much money for it. This is a one time offer, as making eyes/selling them would be a broken exploit.

War Elephant
A large elephant that wanders the desert upon the Moon Lord's defeat, it has loads of HP (but not enough for it to take ages to kill), moves very slowly, doesn't jump high if at all, and has 100% knockback resist.
Occasionally, it may stop for a second and perform a charging attack, throwing itself forwards and dealing extra damage to the player.
Available in the post-Moon Lord desert, this mob is inspired by the War Elephant of Age of Empires fame. In Age of Empires II, it is the unique unit of the Persian civilization, and is well known for its immense strength, lack of speed, and weakness to conversion. I hate monks so damn much.
The reason why I want this guy added is because the post-Moon Lord world is very lacking in regular enemies, containing only Profaned monsters, and creatures in the Abyss, and the rest of the world needs some love.
Drop: Heavy Horn
It may drop a horn that calls forth an elephant for the player to ride on. This Elephant mount has the speed of a Basilisk mount, but it has extra damage dealt when entering its "charging" stage. It also has a high fall speed, roughly the same as a Slime mount, so as to not render the Pyukumuku mount obsolete, but when the Elephant lands on a tile, it will create a shockwave that spreads out to the sides, dealing damage to enemies the waves connect with.

Lihzahrd Karambit
A post-Moon Lord enemy that spawns in the surface Jungle, it fights like a typical fighter, similar to its counterparts in the Temple, however, this one has a trick up its sleeve:
The Lihzahrd Karambit's presence causes identical Lihzahrd Karambits to spawn around the player, but only a certain amount can appear, and the "clones" cannot summon extras, so the player would be forced to find the "real" Karambit and slay it before they get overwhelmed by numbers.

Like the War Elephant suggestion above, the Lihzahrd Karambit is also inspired by a unit from Age of Empires II, this time the Karambit Warrior - unique unit of the Malay civilization in the Rise of the Rajas expansion. The Karambit Warrior has very low stats compared to other units available in its tier, but they make up for this fact by having a very low resource cost, fast training time, and the fact that they are the only unit in AoE II to take up half a population slot. I tried to incorporate this by having the Lihzarhd Karambit "summon" other Karambits to its side, so as to make the player seem like they're being swarmed.
I'm also interested in the idea of Lihzarhds appearing outside the Temple upon the Golem's defeat. The player stormed their home and destroyed their greatest guardian, thus leaving them vulnerable, but also letting them step outside and explore their world, of which they didn't have the chance to do so.

What it does: Works like the malachites right click where it is thrown at a very high velocity and is unaffected by gravity. Can pierce two enemies before breaking on the third. Five homing shards spawn on each enemy hit. These stay in the same spot, not dealing damage for a second before homing into the nearest enemy. The shards do not pierce.

How its made: 5 galactica singularities, 5 luminite, 5 bar of life,. 100 crystal piercers, 100 gel darts and 100 xeroc pitchforks.

Why it should be added: I think it should be added because the only elemental weapon throwing has is the elemental disk which is shared with melee. There are also not many throwing weapons that are useable against providence and the profaned guardians.

I took some inspiration from @spice flume

What if you add the option to spare the final bosses ( I mean like Yharon - Draedon - SCal - Yharim ) and this influences the future and the story.

For example, if you decide not to kill SCal when she surrenders, she flies away and gives you a buff.
If you instead choose to kill her, you'll gain a different buff.

This way you can do a "Pacifist" route ( yes I like Undertale ) or a "Genocide" one or even both in a single playthrough.

Finally, if you will be able to fight one of the two upcoming superbosses depending on which route you chose.

Let's say that you chose the Pacifist route, you'll fight the superboss and the final bosses that you spared will help you, quitting the fight when they can't handle it anymore, leaving you alone in the end.

If you chose the Genocide route instead, you'll have access to some slightly more powerful gear but the superboss you'll fight will summon the slayed bosses to help them, just like DoG does.

A Post-Providence Enemy that spawns in the underworld. They are similar to the demons but are larger and have a black/purple color scheme., as well as large horns on the tops of their heads. They have a 20% higher chance of dropping the same items Eiodolon Wyrms do. In addition, they also nullify Shadow Dodge for 1 minute when you are hit by one, and each of their attacks has a 5% chance to double your last hit and throw it back, causing massive damage. Their stats are also 1.5x higher than Eidolon Wyrms (Defense is 1.2x).

Phase 2 75% - 50% HP- Will still charge at you but now can summon Sulfuric Monsoons and will move slightly faster than phase 1. Monsoons are like the Dukes regular monsoons but twice the size and stick around for longer. Monsoon damage is 75/90/115/130.

Phase 3 50% to 35%- Moves even faster and leaves behind more bubbles along with summoning monsoons more often. Can now dive into the water to temporarily hide itself from the player.

Phase 4 35% - 0- Faster, hides more often. Summons a large monsoon that doesn’t disappear until she is defeated can be avoided by going underwater however being underwater causes the duchess to charge at you fast while also being hidden.

Expert Drop: Fishron Tailfin- When hit you will leave behind sulfuric bubbles which will explode dealing damage to the enemy.
Revengeance Drop: Fishron Egg- Summons a pet duke.

When the rays hit a target, they explode into fiery sparks like an amidas spark's sparks acts. The projectiles deal a considerably larger amount of damage compared to the initial projectile. The projectiles stick to the target, causing the target to rapidly lose health, this stacks 10 times.

Suggestion: Add an item that activates a boss rush, starting from king slime all the way to the point the player is at. The earlier bosses summoned should be buffed with attack, health and maybe some new attack. Each boss will spawn immediately after the previous boss and will not need the biome they are intentioned to be fought in. At the end you will get some reward item from your point in the game (pre-mechs could get a rod of discord) or some large sum of money. The item to activate this would be crafted at a demon altar with each Pre-Hm boss summon, but will still recognize the point in the game they are.

Cosmic Tyrant's Ultisword
Crafted at Draedon's Forge using: True Tyrant's Ultisword, Grax, 10 Cosmolite Bars, 10 Phantoplasm
On each swing it will fire all three of the following projectiles at the same time in a spread:
A red Blazing Phantom projectile that homes in on the enemy and inflicts the Holy Flames, Venom and Cursed Inferno debuffs upon hit. It can pierce up to 5 enemies.
A green Hyper Blade projectile that homes in on the enemy and inflicts the Ichor, Venom and Plague debuffs. It can pierce up to 3 enemies.
A yellow Sunlight Blade projectile that inflicts the Holy Flames and God Slayer Inferno debuff. It can pierce only one enemy.

Upon hitting the enemy with the sword itself, it will inflict all debuffs listed above, as well the Abyssal Flames debuff. It will also always give the True Tyrant's Fury buff to the wielder for 8 seconds.

True Tyrant's Fury: increases defense by 40, damage reduction by 10%, melee speed by 10%, melee damage by 35%, and melee critical strike chance by 35%.

*Brim fight is easy imo and while Brimlings made it harder it's still pretty easy. Here's a buff suggestion. Of course this may not get in but either way congrats to the devs for making this fight the way it is already because this is a fight I always look forward to when playing Calamity and even more now that the update is out. Ok now on with the 'buff'.
-Only 2 Brimlings can be active during the fight. Brimlings will keep the ability to teleport, enrage the Elemental upon death as well as a new one spawning in as happens in the current fight.
-They will follow different phases corresponding to the Brimstone Elemental's and can now deal contact damage.

  1. In the first phase they will chase after your player and teleport, like Brimmy's first phase.
  2. In the second they will continue to chase but also shoot gravity-affected brimstone fireball projectiles as they do in the current fight. However, they teleport less in this phase.
  3. In the third they will still follow the player but their speed is* heavily reduced and they can't teleport in this phase. They will shoot brimstone bolts in a + or x pattern as well as a brimstone hellblast in the player's direction every few seconds but at a much slower speed compared to the Elemental's.
    -Brimlings have much lower health, defense etc, and now in the first and second phases (happens more often in the first) they can occasionally teleport near the Brimstone Elemental as a way to 'intercept' your attacks towards her as a 'sacrifice' forcing her to enrage, this links to the lowered defensive stats (as to provide a higher chance of successful 'sacrifice') and will provide more of a strategic play in aiming.
    Sorry for the wall of text and I might have buffed them too much. ;-;

Descent of Dragons
A bow that can be crafted with various post-Moon Lord materials, such as Effulgent Feathers, Nightmare Fuel, Endothermic Energy, etc.
It has a low attack rate and only fires two arrows, but these arrows are converted into "Dragon Arrows" which home in on the enemy.
The gimmick is simple, but this bow is designed to deal raw damage, without overfilling the screen with particles and extra projectiles.

The Descent of Dragons is inspired by the Dark Bow's incarnation in Old School RuneScape, and is named after its special attack, Descent of Dragons (Descent of Darkness if the player is using non-Dragon Arrows)
The Dark Bow is popular for being the only bow in Old School RuneScape for being able to fire two arrows instead of one, at the cost of having a low attack speed, and is also known for its very damaging special attack, of which I incorporated into the Descent of Dragons' gimmick.

Call of the Abyss: Eidolon Wyrm Summon weapon. 200 Summon Damage, with a chance to inflict Crush Depth, and a very rare chance to inflict Horror (compounding with Crush Depth). The minions can pass through blocks, and are roughly 8 tiles long, but retain the trait that only their head can deal damage. The attack pattern is the same as the Ice Clasper minion attacks. Takes the form of several separate entities with more minion slots, as opposed to growing like the stardust dragon.

Once phase one DoG dies, have it stay there, but not do anything, and replace its sprite with a pink 'spectral' version of it, it won't move, attack, or do anything to the player in this state.
After you're done with all the sentinels, lots of metal-looking dust will begin to close in on each of his body parts (Like shiny stone) and he'll slowly gain the armor from phase 2 (He'd need an animation for this), and then the phase 2 fight would begin once he's finished with all this.

Please, please give full Rage upon manually summoning bosses - if not from the beginning of the game, at some point later in progression. Maybe, to remove cheesy exploits, also remove all Rage after the boss dies. Since it would only apply to manual summons, it wouldn't apply to DoG's Sentinel intermission or to its second phase.

The most annoying part of fighting (and dying to) SCal is having to grind Rage every single time. Even with Draedon's Heart and repeatedly taking fall damage with the Bean mount it takes 30+ seconds every time. (Also, if you S&Q to reset after a bad start you waste potion duration while refilling Rage.)

On the optic staff wiki the bug clearly states: "It is possible to get unmatching amounts of Retinamini and Spazmamini by maxing the spawn cap and lowering it. It's also possible to get an odd amount by summoning spiders with the Spider Staff after summoning the twins, since the spiders don't count for a full minion." (The optic staff denies usage after the cap is reached....)

Doze Rifle: Post-ML upgrade to the Charged Blaster Cannon. Looks like a gun vs. the CBC's arm cannon. Functions similarly to the regular CBC, but spiral/drill particle effects a la the Nebula Blaze are a part of the projectile, and shooting low-health enemies with the first charge level causes them to explode violently. The projectile of the first charge level also travels about as fast as, if not faster than (depending on balance), a Nebula Blaze EX projectile.

The intent is for the rifle to be used on the buffed events, though it can also be used as a bosskiller in a pinch. (because let's face it: something you have to charge up is better to fire into mobs than it is to try and unload it on a boss)

(might need to take out the first stage of charging and move its projectile to the uncharged state)

But if the summoner themselves had more options to make the fight easier while waiting for the minions to actually do something, it'd be great.

Oh, and speaking of throwing (on a roll here) it sucks in early hardmode. You know those HM ore throwing knife variants? No? Of course not, they suck ass. Let’s boost their damage, or add something cooler, like, say, ghosts in jars! Take a bottle, a soul of night and light, and you get ten ghost jars. Permafrost's Bag of Holding: Every self respecting mage has a bag of holding leading to a pocket dimension full of crazy shit. His happens to be full of, well, ice. Ice, and ice accessories. A throwing weapon that makes you hurl a random spray of ice daggers and axes at an insanely high rate on normal click, falling and shattering into damaging shards at around the point a magic dagger would fall. On right click, you throw a cryo mine that travels a short distance then hovers, shattering after around 4 seconds or on impact with an enemy, creating deadly ice shards. Cryogen's legendary.

What about removing ALL of the lore items, and replace it with: Mysterious Journal (Tooltip: It seems to be enchanted by a powerful being). The Mysterious Journal is added to the player's starter inventory. Using the item opens a Book GUI with multiple pages, each page representing a biome with its background sprite faded in the background of the page, normally is greyed out and named ??? until one of the creatures in the biome have been slain. Each biome has their own lore description, as well as some history and 'Personal notes'. Each creature is listed in their respective biome (Note: If there isn't any biome for the enemy to fit in such as the devourer of gods, it could be of galactic origins.) Each creature is listed in their biome as an icon that once you click on it, will have a brief description including lore and possibly another 'personal note', but they are blacked out by default until the said creature is vanquished. This will help in expanding the lore, as well as to display lore for the lesser creatures like skeletons or what not. Once the journal has discovered ALL biomes and creatures, it turns into Yharim's Journal. The Journal can even hide some clues on to finding and hunting down the upcoming superbosses.

Summons a cryogen sentry that stays in the air and fires frostfireballs. It has a slow firerate and short range at first, but both get faster and longer the longer an enemy is targeted. At the firerate cap, the sentry starts spinning and fires gravity-affected icicles in random directions in addition to firing at the enemy.
Either obtained through a cryogen drop or crafting with frigid bars.
Many people have expressed that the mod needs more summoner options and more sentries in general. I have also heard that this would make a good legendary summon.

Wasn't sure if here or the Builds channel on the Art server was the best place for this. I built it myself, but it's also a suggestion.

This is a Sulphurous Sea themed Floating Island, which generates above It's inspiration. Inside the chest is a powerful Abyss-themed item, possibly a biome chest item or something even better.

As you can see, to get at the treasure you have to wade through some acidic water and survive a ceiling of chaotic ore, so unlike vanilla items it isn't completely undefended.

How about adding a submarine like mount based of the Barreleye Fish. Destroyer minion is like the Stardust Dragon and similar minions. It attacks by ramming into enemies, and each successive summon increases the length instead of summoning a new one
The key difference is that the Destroyer minion cannot move freely in air, only in the ground (like the real Destroyer and other Worm type enemies), however it can leap up from the ground to attack enemies above the surface (again, like other similar worm enemies)
This would provide summoner with another early hardmode minion to use, as currently the pool of pre moon lord hardmode summons is fairly small.

People have already suggested an Abyss chest with a throwing weapon, so maybe it could be a sulphur chest (like Mongoliandethwrm's idea) or an astral chest?
Oof I dunno if it's ok or it's better to have one weapon for each class.

Having been told my last set of changes was "complete fucking aids" I am going to try again with a new direction. All of these changes effect their respective bosses in Death Mode.

Eye of Cthulu: Instead of 3 straight charges, it performs a single Duke Fishron-like loop, during which it summons a large swarm of Servants.

Cryogen: At 50% HP it summons a pair of Ice Golems.

Calamitas: She only summons one set of brothers throughout the fight, but they are invulnerable and die when she does.

Plantera: When she reaches her second phase, she launches 6 thorn balls in random directions.

King Slime: Only spawns Spiked Blue Slimes.

Obtained by either killing Eidolists, making it an early hardmode summon, or by crafting it with 10 Lumenyl, 8 Ectoplasm, and 2 Ruinous Soul/2 Dark Plasma, making it post-Moon Lord.

They have two fighting styles in Warframe. Maybe they could be similar to the Twins; one of them is a Ghost Vomvalyst which charges enemies dealing considerable damage and knockback, albeit it does it rather slowly. Then there's the normal Vomvalyst, which shoots pairs of homing projectiles at a reasonable pace that deal reasonable damage, but no knockback.

p.s I dunno if two Warframe references would fly well to be honest (Soma Prime) but I just couldn't NOT think about this, especially considering the similarity in A.I between them and a handful of Terraria summons.

The building is lined with gold bricks, and the inside is full of golden furniture, mountains of coins, and maybe even some rare/exclusive treasures (perhaps have a lucky coin available in one of the chests, plus some other original loot).
Another possibility is to give the biome it's own unique spawns, some of which drop gold dust (so there's another way to get it other than just buying it)
I think it would be a cool addition to the mod, and it would be a fun thing to hunt for. I know I'd certainly enjoy it.

Instead of directly causing Hardmode, the WoF drops the "Spirit Heart", an item that, when used, triggers Hardmode. That way you can grind WoF and only enter Hardmode when you're ready.

I haven't fully developed the idea, but the thought occurred to me:

What about, instead of having alternative sources of recipe ingredients later in progression (As in, Souls/Fragments/Cores from bosses - which isn't a bad idea, but I'm just throwing this out there for you lot to consider), have later crafting stations eliminate the need for those resources? For example, Ancient Manipulator could subsidize Souls of Light/Night for any crafting done in its presence, and Draedon's Forge could subsidize Souls of Sight/Fright/Might (maybe Lunar Fragments as well?).

On second thought, it may be more appropriate for later crafting stations to provide a chance to not consume lesser crafting ingredients, similar to how the Alchemy Table works for potions.

Lore idea (taken from comments on the Left Alone vid, this one is mostly by someone named Malestorm) but have the Rose Stone have it's own lore, where you have Brimstone Elemental's (sad) lore, but that was all was until you, the player, stumble down there and fight her. Then, after defeating her, she realizes that you're out to kill every being claiming to be more powerful than you are, including the witch that ruined her, which gets her to join you, fighting alongside you. The rose stone is her sign of loyalty.

Note: This would not be an in-game item, just official lore on the wiki. (like Braelor and Statis) If mods/devs say it can be official I'd be willing to add it to wiki for those sweet edit points.

This is a classless weapon, any damage boosts of any class will increase the damage of this weapon, and will not trigger the Summoner damage penalty.

Fires a net of lunar electricity to trap enemies, dealing continuous immunity-frame ignoring damage. Cryonic Core Reactor- Upgrade to Spirit Generator
-Retains all previous effects of Spirit Generator
-Minions may creates small crystal shards on enemy hits, similar to crystal bullets.
-Increase minion damage per each unused minion slots, capping at 6 minion slots.
-Recipe: Spirit Generator + Cryonic Bars + Crystal Shards + Souls of Might + Souls of Light

Due to how piercing summons work, against single target that's non-multi-segmented 4+ piercing summons will have around the same dps as having 10+ piercing summons, which drastically reduces their effectiveness against many bosses. I had found this out after noticing that 4 elemental axes deal as much dps on Providence as 15 elemental axes with the same equipment. Hopefully, this accessory will:
1.) Remedy this fact atleast a bit, and make piercing summons a bit more useful and powerful.
2.) Encourages summoners to be more strategic in their summons management, instead of the typical "Summon until you max minions".
Also I want Spirit Generator to have a hardmode upgrade tehehe

Summoners are good against normal enemies, but when they are up against bosses, it’s terrible, the only way to fend off as a summoner is to run away or dodge, and if your hit, your armor isn’t ever even that good so it’s always devastating.

This could be fixed in the following ways, increase the defense moderately for summoners, or make summons better by making them faster and not teleport to you during boss fights, or give the summoners some other way to defend themselves like a rechargeable sheild or a different damage or movement option exclusive to the class, or something special like that and not just an overpowered weapon added to their arsenal.

The summoners problem is it’s too basic, make it more advanced then stalling out a boss, because that’s difficult enough. Make it viable.

I see the mod is lacking an event so i got an idea for a event that allow you to summon Yharim with a item that can be crafted with other items to a boss summon item. A new event called Yharim's Army that something do space medieval theme like knights and dragons and the event is like the Halloween and Chirstmas event but it's never end until you defeat all the 20 waves. After you kill the superbosses expect Yharim, there a text pops up **The army of Yharim is coming to siege you **. The event will have 10 new mobs and 3 new event bosses. Bosses are Blacken Eye Dragon, The Blademaster and Urmi the final boss of the event and drop a item can be crafted to an summoning item for Yharim.

-After Providence is defeated, Uelibloom Slimes (or whatever they're called), start spawning here.
-If Providence is summoned here, she will drop more Divine Geodes, and Uelibloom Bars. She will also drop the Non-Consumable version of her summon
-After Polterghast is defeated, Profaned Crags enemies start spawning here.

A series of tools designed for summoners to both offset the damage penalty for holding non-summon weapons in rev- and deathmode, and to allow for effective positioning of summons in fights. One of the major issues I've experienced playing a summoner in revengeance mode is the fact that many of the buffed bosses move at the speed of what, and since the player lacks any real direct input on the positioning of their minions, you end up having to dodge for extended periods and do small bouts of damage sporadically to actually win. Furthermore, since the higher difficulties punish your progressively worse for playing a hybrid summoner, you're stuck with no viable means of attack should you try to join the fracas.

So to remedy this, I suggest a series of items that, when held, increases minion move, though not attack or strike, speed progressively more throughout game progression, compels the AI to move to the cursor and keep within reasonable distance thereof for attacks, and on right-click allows to set the priority target for summons as per the classic function of summon weaponry. As such, effective use of any of the series of items and active and intelligent participation in minion position in battle will reward greater dividends to good play and forethought, while allowing summoners to directly participate in the battle besides spam-clicking the topmost minion and flagging down whatever they happen to want to eventually die.

I believe that this would go a long way to ameliorating the viability issues summoners experience in calamity.

Either way, it's a mount that hovers up in the air like the UFO, its speed is slower than the UFO or the Brimling Mount, but it fires exo flames to the enemy and fires exo homing missles (at random intervals) in form of turrets (they're simply 'attached' minions that are 'invisible').
If crafted, it'd require auric ore, a UFO, an Elemental ;laster (or another flamethrower) and a Chicken Rocket Launcher or similar.

-Any boss fought here is 10% more powerful, but they provide 10% more loot. In Expert+, Bosses drop 2 Treasure bags, but the bosses are 30% more deadly
-The only enemies that can spawn here are any variation of the Slime (except KS and SG) :P.
-If enemies from the World Evils are killed here, they have a chance to drop the summons for EoW, BoC, Hive, And Perfs.
-If Ravager is killed here, Ravager Tower (a previous suggestion I made) will have slightly boosted spawn rates.

A summon weapon that drops from providence. It summons a mini profaned guardian. It has a chance to be either the main guardian, the rock guardian, or the crystal guardian. The rock guardian will change attacks based on your current hp. Above 75% hp, he will fire holy spears like the main guardian. If your hp reaches 75%, he drops profaned flares that explode after 3 seconds. At 50% hp, it will move and fire faster. At 25% hp, it combines all the effects of the main guardian.

Profaned Splinter
"You are one of them now. Summons lesser profaned guardians to assist you"

Summon weapon, either a rare (10% or so) drop from the profaned guardians or a drop from Providence. Summons miniature versions of the profaned guardians (5 blocks tall, 4 wide aprox.), each takes 2 summon slots and always summon in this order: Main-Rock-Crystal-Main-Rock and so on.
The main guardian behaves kinda like the actual guardian it is based on, going on the agressive and sharing attacks with said guardian.
The rock guardian stays relatively close to the player and makes short dashes to attack the enemies. It's main bonus is passively increasing the player's defense and damage reduction (not extremely, given a proper summoner can have 2 or maybe even 3 of them), and having a chance to block or even deflect projectiles it directly collides with
Lastly, the crystal guardian stays close to the player and never attacks, but in turn it increases the player's life regen and (mimicking the hability of its older brother) heals the player a flat, decent chunk of life every 30/ 60 seconds (depending on balance).
Edit: the actual profaned guardians don't see you as one of them , so no special effects for fighting them with this weapon

The Martian Moons - two yoyo's in one, when you throw the yoyo, instead of one yoyo, you have two yoyo's called Phobos And Deimos, both of them deal the same damage but phobos explodes on contact and has bigger range, and deimos will inflict numerous debuffs and leave trails of particles. (Deimos inflicts 6 random hardmode debuffs) (Phobos explodes constantly, everytime it touches a npc, it also has bigger range and deals more damage) (dropped from any martian invasion enemy 0.7 chance) (DPS cap: 9000)

This would make it a more valuble item to use, and make farming items that drop from rare creature take less time (earth elementals, for example). Spell Tome that drops from the Gulper Eel after Polterghast has been defeated. It casts a projectile that looks somewhat like the gulper eel’s head. It would be a high damage, high knock-back weapon, but low range and low speed. If you kill an enemy with it, you get healed for x (like 1/100) amount of that enemy’s max hp. (Since you gulp them and absorb their health)

Edit 1: It would be a low drop chance, since gulper eels aren’t considered minibosses and are less tanky and more common. (Or make them minibosses and buff them)

Projectile Breaking Dash
The way this works is that if a player dashes into a Projectile that said Projectile will be destroyed. However this can only be done with post-moon Lord gear that has the ability to dash. This comes in handy when clearing a path for yourself during SCal's Bullet Hell Phases or Sepulcher's Projectiles. But this only works on slow moving projectiles not fast ones

Item that detects which other mods are active, and if there are any other than a pre-approved list. It also tells you if you are currently applicable for getting a server role. For example, it could track hits in boss fights and when all bosses are dead it says whether you are valid for a role. Accumulates damage while the adrenaline bar is filling, and when the bar is full it does it's max damage, but if you get hit, goodbye to that damage (make it have low base damage to be worth not be hit)

Not too much throw speed, so you need to use the adrenaline in some moment, and while the bar depletes its damage will lower.

More ways to summon bosses than just killing enemies or using summon items.
In vanilla there are orbs to blow up (and receive loot from), an NPC to activate a curse on, a voodoo doll of an NPC to throw into lava (ouch), a special mushroom worm to use as fishing bait at the oceans, a set of enormous eldritch towers that have to be destroyed but are only capable of taking damage after killing hundreds of aliens invading certain areas of the world... and in Calamity we have boss summon items or trigger enemies.

Edit: I have no actual suggestions as to how bosses could be summoned because I'm an uncreative piece of shit, so this is more here for everyone else to get ideas about

Make Ambrosial Ampule craftable at Mythril Anvil.
Cause honestly? Although it's craftable at the same time as Absorber, you're more likely to use Absorber, since Ambrosial Ampule is more like a worse, "bootleg" Absorber.

The Absorber mainly provides stats suitable for boss battles, which is what you'll be mostly doing from Moon Lord onwards, while Ambrosial Ampule mainly provides stats suitable for explorations like increase mining speed, reduced damage from bees etc. which aren't that great/important when you're at Lunatic Cultist and beyond, but is very good for early hardmode.

This is especially supported by the fact that all of Ambrosial Ampule's recipes are available in hardmode even before you kill any bosses. This would make it a sort of early bootleg Absorber obtainable early on, and would definitely be convenient for when you have just gotten to hardmode, as most of the item grindings/explorations starts then.

To compensate for this change, some stats of Ambrosial Ampule could be nerfed, like decreasing its damage reduction a bit.

I posted this a while ago, but people were confused on what i meant by stardust staff so for clarity - the stardust staff is a late-hm mage weapon dropped by the lunatic cultist. this is not the stardust dragon staff.

simply make the stardust a 100% drop on the first lunatic cultist kill, it's a weapon solely designed to assist in crowd control with the pillars and nothing more, making it useless to go back and get after moonlord is defeated.

I know this probably won't get in but I had an interesting idea for Yharon.

Upon reaching 5% HP in Phase 2, Yharon comes crashing to the ground de-spawning all projectiles and ceasing all attacks, Yharon becomes invincible for five seconds (To prevent him from just dying right away). If the player doesn't kill Yharon within thirty seconds he gets up and fly's away, you still get all of the loot even if you let him live. Upon Yharon flying away the player is granted a permanent buff that doesn't take up a buff slot

Yharon's Honor/Respect

During boss fights and occasionally outside of boss fights, Yharon will occasionally fly in and unleash a barrage of high damage homing fireballs which attack enemies, upon falling below 25% health Yharon will swoop in and absorb up to a maximum of 1000 damage (This totals up) and unleash a smaller barrage of non homing fire balls.

In the event that the player kills Yharon they will receive a different buff

Reffering to the thing that @placid escarp said, if Ambrosial Ampoule is going to be weaker than The Absorber, then switch their rarities.
Currently Ampoule has Red rarity (which is used for Moon Lord and Celestial Pillars items) and The Absorber has Light Purple rarity (which is used mostly for pre-Plantera items).
That's just a little detail that I want to point out.

On use, inflicts the player with an uncancellable debuff with the following effect: Every X seconds (a fixed number that is known to the player, I'd advise between 5 and 10), procs rod of discord effect without chaos state regardless of what the player is pointing at.
Duration: I'd suggest 4 minutes or so, really up to Fabsol though.

Gating: Probably post WoF, as discord rod drops in the Hallow.

Reasoning: This essentially makes the Terrarian their own worst enemy. Sure, teleporting every X seconds sounds good.... if you can keep up the multitasking required. (Hello, Yharon's Infernadoes!) This would introduce another dimension to dodging and exciting gameplay, only to those who want it though.

Annoying? Maybe. Interesting? Probably. If you want to be really interesting, make it have a positive effect instead, like increase mana regen on contact like a mage's version of honey.

AI: varies. When in water and the player is out of water, or when player is in water and it is out of water, it has the turtle jumping AI. When it is in water with the player it has the piranha AI, and when it is out of water with the player it will attempt to get back to water with a slime-like AI.

Appearance: large, long fish with a shield-like crest on it’s head for ramming prey. Has the terra color palette.

Drops: Terra crest (accessory)
16 defense. Makes all dashes behave like the shield of Cthulhu dash and damage enemies by ramming them. Base damage is equal to the player’s current speed, it’s also affected by damage bonuses. Alternatively the drop could be a material for this item, crafted with the shield of Cthulhu.

Based on the real life tarpin fish, known to jump at people, injuring or killing them with it’s massive size and speed

Add more class-specific armour sets? Currently, the only armour set to buff a particular class (in calamity) is Astral, whereas in Vanilla there are quite a few, from Shadow, Jungle etc. through Frost, Spider, etc. to the Lunar sets. As it is now switching the item in the helmet slot to change classes feels like it misses out on the potential for diversity that Terraria brings and makes Post-ML feel slightly stale after the second or third playthrough (and linear, too HDfailure).

As a suggestion on top of the above (I'm leaving this seperate as it is only one path that could be taken, and less people could agree with this than the general idea of the suggestion it adds on to — think of it as a bonus idea), perhaps these sets could be added as surplus to the existing core sets.
For example, in mid pre-Hardmode, there's Bee, Shadow, Jungle, Necro, and Fossil as 'specialised' armours, but also Victide/Aerospec as general, 'streamlined' armours (helmet-per-class — credit to @agile smelt for providing the operative term of streamlined). Or early-mid Harmode, there's Forbidden and Frost as specialised, but also Hallowed for streamlined.
So, perhaps, after the Moon Lord is defeated, there could be two armour sets per tier: the existing streamlined sets (Tarragon, Bloodflare, God Slayer, Silva, Auric Tesla, Demonshade), but also specialised armour sets around each tier (Ranged/Throwing at Tarragon/Bloodflare, Melee at God Slayer, etc.)?
Having diverging paths depending on the decisions you've made makes the game feel less restricted and more fleshed-out. Even having just two armour sets per tier would capitalise on the game's potential for diversity in both gameplay and lore expansion, and as a sandbox, having more than one path is (usually) a good thing.
