infernum is a lot of "different" rather than necessarily "harder" its harder than exrev for sure, but most bosses are drastically different and a good chunk of the difficulty comes from relearning the new fights

Whether that be because it doesn’t exist or you’re not holding a Withering weapon
‘active/inactive’ meaning the damage bonus… not the DoT. Switching off doesn’t cancel it, it only makes it begin slowing down

Ok what you do is have the host kill skeletron by themselves that should force her to spawn if it doesn't. Then there are debug items that can be accessed using a cheat sheet. I recommend trying that first

Worst case scenario if you absolutely can not get it to work.
beyond learning the story and getting an emotional attachment to solyn there is a mod that allows you to skip permafrosts quest. And you can craft all the seeds to summon Avatar of emptiness and nameless. So you won't miss out on the bosses.

Bubbles blocks where her arena would spawn. You can go outside of it but she does enrage iirc. You can do that for all of the bosses with the forced arena. Beyond that I've only seen the arena the same size so I don't really know
