I've generally found the Plague Engine better than the Elemental Axe (but keep 1 axe for the debuff it applies), using the bullets made from Life Alloys for Providence and Holy Fire Bullets for the guardians. Whether you use axes or plague engines though, just bear in mind that the flowers are not worth using, despite Wither Blossoms being so good
