tbf, i would still buy the actual carts of games. For example, even tho I still play ocarina of time on an emu, having the actual game is nice. being able to wrap my hands on the N64 controller like I once did as a kid just gives me that overwhelming sense of nostalgia yanno. Now im sure you can just go out and buy an N64 with a USB on the end and call it a day, but being able to play it on the hardware it was made on is just all the more better imo. And I mean hey, if you ever wanted to sell the actual games, you would get a pretty big penny for them. I had one dude who wanted to buy my N64 (mint condition still) for almost 300 bucks. thats almost the value of a brand new console xd.

finding and downloading ROMs is now difficult as of i believe last year? Nintendo cracked down on ROM websites like emuparadise and coolroms, they've all shut down now and new websites are sketchy virus or have a narrow selection of games
i have a gba emulator(hilariously designed after a psp, thanks chinese designers) and it's hard as hell to find games for it
shutting down emuparadise not only affected Nintendo games, iirc they just fully removed every single game from every manufacturer

I never played MW 2012 myself. I played Undercover, and then didn't touch another NFS until Payback which is an awful game and I regret putting over 400 hours in it.

On one hand, I understand keeping people in the same skill group, but on the other hand, I can see why people dislike it. It seems like the game doesn't want you to experiment and forces you into the meta. For me, trying to play HC with anything that isn't my Meme Scar or the AK-47 is just awful. I'll start a game with a weird loadout, get decimated with no chance of retaliation, and ultimately switch to my AK to sweat.
