Remakes and remasters are 2 different things. Remasters are essentially what the gta trilogy definitive edition was, a simple graphical overhaul and more detail on models, a remake is essentially taking a old game like half life 1 and rebuilding it from scratch with new models level design and gameplay mechanics, and all that turned into black mesa a modern remake of half life 1,as people call it.
