I'm currently suffering from an issue regarding startup. Once my game starts up, it'll show a bit of whatever character I was playing and then show the autosave alert. It won't let me click yes or no, so I'm totally stuck in this screen. Any help?

For the monkey one, I’m not sure what is the problem but it also requires him to be a returning player to trigger the random event where he can get a free car.

well its single player. so do what you want. use mods to teleport/use the videos and set an approximate marker on the map etc. do w/e you want which gets you going

I bought a scope for my carbine rifle. How do I enter the scope mode? I am still aiming in third person view.
At the weapons wheel, under the SMG category, there is a < 1 / 2 > indication. What is this for? How do I switch it to < 2 / 2> ?

To use scope u need to switch to first person mode
Use tab to select the weapon slot and scroll through that slot (the <1/2> indicates that u have 2 weapons of the same type

Graphics were about the same level as Vice City. City was much better in 3, atmosphere and music too. VC is shit compared to 3.

Well, it depends on how you want it, creating one before investing is to make sure you don’t mess up, after investing, you will have to save and load the game a lot and having a save before the investment is good
