How would I create anonymous bot sub users like what PluralKit and similar bots do?

The users are marked as bots and generated dynamically with a custom profile picture and name. Users can then send messages as these bot users. But, the bot users are not full-on bots, more like shells which can't accept roles.

I can't find a search term for this behavior so apologies if there's a page in the docs for it.
