Thats the thing, If we get Atlas to drop us turn 1, we will be out faster than most. Idk what the rules are around getting landed by a TF, but we could supposedly recon in force anywhere if we don't need the spaceport. If we need a spaceport, then we are part of the firstwave crowd. Even then we are on the groudn quick. If we don't have TF Atlas for a ride and are reliant on the "and then you were there" transition that puts us planet side turn 2, we could defo boost a ride to another location such as Nerys Village. That is a location no one has mentioned that I have seen in planning and would make a decent fob for pushing the southern mine.

They have decided to take us in priority if both our BG are under 20 units.

If our BG is under 20 units 24 hours before the deadline, I will close recruitment (or, at least only allow up to 20 units maximum), and we will get transported by Atlas.
If our BG is over 20 units at some point, then Atlas transporting us is abandonned, in favour of (hopefully) Pathfinders.

If they do transport us, we will arrive 1 turn earlier along with the other taskforces.
That is the deal with Atlas gents.

Its wierd because in my experience, Light Mechs aren't really considered as a recon option by people despite being geared toward it in alot of ways (being able to move through enemies to escape, speed 4, laser that doesnt need ammo so it can be used way outside of supply lines, etc), and because of they they get left out of a lot of the positions they should be in (in my opinion)

I remember alot of the training missions that we're "light forces, no heavies, recon oriented" not allowing light mechs

I don't disagree. The one thing they lack is the infantry transport capacity. Which TBH would be even more of a problem than it currently is if we had light mechs instead of our IFVs, but...

Literally everyone wants a HVTOL, i’d suggest joining one of the TF’s that would need a HVTOL to no longer require airports for transport of their vehicles. Would change a lot for that TF.
