But in C3 we had hats doing the rush order (or the equivalent to) and they were flying off screen, coming back, supplying a depot.
They could do that 2 and a half times a turn
3018 - 3014 is where they have range but if their larger units have 2 range I don't see them moving closer

There are two different kinds of actions. Primary and standard.
Primary is something you can only do once a turn. Usually shooting, but in your case bombardment. Doesn’t use speed
Standard you can do any amount of but it costs .5 speed

I know this is probably a dumb question, but are the highlighed zones (blue, yellow, green), civilian structures, covered terrain, and impassable terrain respectively?

If you’d like, you can lift off after you unload. That way ground units can’t shoot you
light blue might be the bot factory? Or the factory here the bots can use to build more units. Blue because its a building but a different shade of blue because it is an actual strategically valuable one, perhaps?

In future please give a start and an end grid number, noting who has gotten out and where, on your order too. both the passenger and the transport need it in the order.

@restive root we split purely for logistics reasons, thats it. we're the same BG effectively. BG10 (Merchants) is just logistics people and BG4 (Fortress) is some logistics mostly combat. We operate under the same umbrella and are all doing the same thing.

Snow fell lightly in an early Lumaran morning snow shower, the world rendered a light gray by the veil of clouds over the rising sun, which still gave a cheery light to the snowfields and pines backdropped by the tumbled mountains to the east. The wind barely raising itself to a whisper, the frigid air of Lumara doing plenty to keep the temperature chill for the mass of vehicles traveling down a rocky, icy road.
Engines roared, snow tires and metal cleated tracks ground the ice to splinters, the stench of diesel swirled in their wake as the mechanized force of Battle Group Dwarf Fortress advanced on the mountains, and the pillars of green smoke that rose from between them.
Davis lurched backwards as Bukshot slid over another patch of icy rock, catching himself before he banged into the open hatch behind him. He grumbled as he leaned forward again to finish knocking off the ice that had accumulated on his periscopes overnight; meanwhile Bass in the other hatch gave a whoop as the war machine slid downhill for a good five yards before the tracks finally caught again with another lurch.
Periscopes clear, Davis looked up at the armored column he was part of. The truck ID'd as Lootbox led the way, with IFVs, IrS and Traktor beside him, and Halix behind him, along with the heavy howitzers slowing raising their guns heavenward to rain annihilation upon all who dared defy. A gust of wind swept over him, causing him to glance up at the VTOLs that shot through the air above, as well as the giant cargo planes that flew even higher, and their cargo of paratroopers whose chutes were slowly drifting down.
The rattle of distant gunfire brought him back to reality, causing him to quickly duck back down into the protection and relative warmth of Bukshot's hull.
"Bass! Button down! Load AP! Targets will be expected at 10 o'clock when we get past that giant rock! Greene! Keep us at full throttle till we get to where Helldriver is right now, and don't stop unless I say so!"
"Will do Sheriff!" Bass resounded as he jumped back down from the hatch.

Davis grinned as with slightly shaking fingers, as he cycled through the comms channels, checking for recent reports and intel briefs. The engines had only stalled once on transit, and overall the ride had been much smoother than expected, so maybe, just maybe, Bukshot would shed its rattletrap reputation on Lumara. But he was soon jarred from his growing hopes as he heard a familiar melody come over the radio.

He whispered to himself, before his grin grew even wider. Switching the channel to the artillery frequency he called out.
"BigStick this is Bukshot actual. Nice music. Shame our speakers are bigger."
Putting down the radio he quickly made some adjustments and selections on another console, and suddenly all the units around Bukshot could hear a new song blasting above the roar of engines and aircraft.

I should have fired. My unhitch/deploy was 0.5 movement and then 0.5 to fire a bombardment. Unless firing costs more then 0.5 speed. Or unless my damage prevented me from firing.

most we can do is have two engis (or a engi and somone who can dig the trench) make trenches for you or just one engi making sandbags

Well there isn’t a factory here but the mines are definitely important to deny them.
Hopefully we don’t have to much opposition moving forward and we can find a good place to bunker down cause the mission is to hold out before reinforcements arrive. I don’t think with how things are looking for Armco is able to liberate the entire planet

I think the majority of our forces are gonna be another turn and we have local artillery superiority. So one more round of initial fortifying is probably worth it. We want to move forwards though, so barbed wire would be counterproductive. If we leave it as bags or trenches it can always be a fallback line in future.
HH might be hell like C-Z. So hopefully we can somehow gather intel before pushing onwards

My guess is they're either still at H-H or at Haydar Village. They can't be at Crossroads or else we'd have seen them overhead
The only high orbit map we have is I’ve L-W2 so we don’t have a clue where they went
If you use .5-1 speed to fall back into 2916 you should be able to get out of range of those SPG and monopolize your greater range of 4 to counterbattery the mountain. Unless the height is giving them extra range it should keep you alive through the next round as well as avenging LOGI. (If they got the range then hopefully some armor will move up that way after the apgs as well and draw their attention...)
This was my thought too, fire an anti-orbital round then dismount and run for it and hope medics can heal me up (and gun survives, but FS is more important)
