I'm looking into a bachelor's in Germany, but it only has a Winter Semester start. I am only B2, so I need my C1 certificate. Since I already live in Germany, it makes sense to do that at the University. But it seems like I would have to time getting my C1 certificate during the Summer semester right before the winter semester start? Because if I did it, for example, during the 2025/26 winter semester, then there would be nothing to do during the 2026 summer semester, right? Since the program wouldn't start until the 2026 winter semester... And I'm not sure what I would otherwise do during an "emtpy" semester. (And obviously, this hypothetical scenario assumes I would pass the C1 certificate and be accepted to the university program.) Thanks for any insight.

thats unfortunately how it is.
you can find another university maybe that starts in summer semester but if you want to study in that one then you ll just have to wait
you can maybe get access to the university material in advance
or you can do some self studying if your degree allows it. like computer science you can do a certificate online on your own or something
