can I use zlibrary to get some books in germany? i heard you'd get fines in germany for it. if so, how do i bypass it without a vpn or is it impossible?

Still not recommended. It's still illegal. Rather check your local library (very low yearly fees, maybe 20 bucks for ENDLESS books), scientific libraries even offer sending books all across Germany for free etc...
