Basically, I have been given the opportunity to do an intensive german course for six months in Spain, my native country. With a guaranteed job position in my field in Germany when I finish those studies for one year (while I keep studying German). I would need to abandon my entire life here, so it's very scary, but I think it would be a fantastic opportunity for my career every step of the way, and I like learning languages. Do you guys think this is a good idea? And please feel free to DM if you had a similar experience, would love hearing about your experience!

Yeah, you work one year practicing the language and seeing if the people in there like you enough to keep you on the workforce.

If you practise German for 6 months extensively and then have a job assured for 1 year, it sounds pretty reasonable. Definetely an opportunity worth considering

You can consider the field you're working in as well. Some fields require more German language knowledge than others. For example (as discussed recently in another thread) for practicing law or a similar field in German might require you to have very polished language skills, so a half-year intensive course might not cover that much. But from how it sounds, if the people in the job assume you can do it, then you probably can ^^
