#German bluntness

I haven't become "blunter" myself but I have become more used to the German bluntness and disassociated it from rudeness a bit. It is more expected with time and I take it less personally, generally just laughing it off afterward with friends about how "typical German" that reaction was. It is still sometimes uncomfortable while in the interaction, but generally I can brush it off more quickly and don't linger over feeling bad about it as I did when I first moved. I've lived in Germany a bit over 2 years, originally from the US.
