Hello everyone, as of recently, i have received my German student visa to study in the university of Bremen. After a long period of running around to get all the papers ready and waiting for them to get approved, i thought that was the hardest part, but now, i'm facing a greater problem; i couldn't find accomodation in bremen.. It's either the mandatory SCHUFA which I can't get since i haven't even arrived in Germany, the high prices that go up to 700 euros a month to rent a small room, the high demand that makes finding an empty apartment feel like a dream come true, or the tenants that don't even respond to my messages.
So please, if anyone can help in any way possible, i would appreciate it so much, and if you need any details to help me, my dms are open and i will try to provide as much info as possible,

Two options, I'd say. Either explain about not being able to provide a Schufa-Auskunft through no fault of your own, perhaps offering to make up for it by paying a higher Kaution (the money required to be paid upfront as security in case you default on paying rent and/or utterly destroy the place). Or find a short-term rental, either accepting a rent you feel is too high, or in a place you feel is too far away from uni, then immediately start looking for a better/cheaper place once you're actually there. @jaunty gust there is, but communicating with them seems a bit challenging, as i can't call them directly since i'm not there, i can only resort to messages, which they take a while to read, and this caused me to loose 3 opportunities for an apartment
