Actually im in my last sem i trying to do higher studies in germany so my question is should i need an german lang proficiency certificate to do higher studin germany or ielts is enough . i know coming to work i need above b1 but atleast a1 is enough or should i do above a1.

@blissful root It depends whether you want to study in English or or German. Most bachelor's degrees are available in German, masters in English are much easier to find.
The level required depends on university and course. For German it's usually TELC or TestDAF (equivalent of B2+/C1). For English IELTS and TOFEL are usually accepted, band 7/8 is usually okay but you need to check with the specific course you're applying for.
