Hey everyone,
I hope this post finds you well. I find myself at a crossroads in life and could really use some guidance from this supportive community.
A bit about my situation: I started my education in an international university when my family was financially comfortable. However, circumstances changed, and I've had to work tirelessly to finance my education and living expenses. I'm currently on a gap year to save up and apply to a public university in Germany. But here's the catch - they require proof of financial stability and good future prospects to support oneself.
I've been taking on menial and mini-jobs to make ends meet, but it's becoming increasingly challenging to balance these responsibilities while managing the high cost of my English-language university. To make matters more complex, I don't have a strong command of German, which is essential for my career goals in office-based blue or white-collar jobs. While I understand basic German up to a beginner B1 level, speaking and writing fluently is still a challenge. So applying to ausbildungs and duales is not really a good choice for me as for now.
My ultimate goal is to secure a stable job and ensure a better future not just for myself but also to support my family. I feel like I've sacrificed a lot - missed out on events and personal experiences - just to work and study tirelessly, often doubting my abilities to excel in both areas.
I'm genuinely scared that I might not make it without your valuable advice. The prospect of homelessness and an uncertain future looms large. So, I'm reaching out to this community for any insights, tips, or suggestions you may have.
Your experiences and advice mean the world to me. Please share your thoughts, and thank you in advance for your support. 🙏
