Study VISA

Regarding to the fact that you are able to travel to other schengen countries with a schengen VISA, I wondered if I'm also allowed to do that with a study VISA.
I have a friend who lives in Belgium and I want to visit him roughly once a month.
Do they check your passport at borders?

If u have visa to any Schengen country all traffic to other Schengen countries is technically considered domestic traffic. Carry ur ID with you, your passport + visa and u should be fine but check with your embassy just to be safe and with the student support desk at your university and travel FAQs at the gov website of the country ur visiting .

afaik if you have an aufenhalterlaubnis that'll be all you need to travel

but i know that in the papers they recommend you to bring also your passport + an extra paper that they also give you with your aufenhalterlaubis ID
