Studying tips after using a language app

Hello, I have been having a hard time retaining the information that I have been learning on Babbel. It's a good language app however I can't seem to do anything after using the app. For example, I do 15mins a day of learning but after I don't do much in using the new conversation skill I gained. I tried doing flashcards but I end up getting overwhelmed since it was a lot of new conversation skills and vocab that I get burnt out. I would love to hear what study or memorization tips you have , thank you!

you have to try to actively use them, either in conversation or in trying to make example sentences. That's the best way for me to remember new words

Hmm that sounds like a good idea, I will give it a shot then just writing down the new vocabs.
